Hello, my name is Andrew Rivera. I’m a graphic designer and ceramic artist based in Minnesota, with a creative practice rooted in both traditional craft and contemporary design. My journey began with a BFA in Ceramics, where I developed a love for functional forms that incorporate bold imagery and expressive typography.
Currently, I’m pursuing a Master of Arts in Graphic and Web Design at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, expanding my skill-set at the intersection of digital and physical media. My work is influenced by a wide range of sources, including historical Mexican print-makers, Chicano culture, skateboarding, brutalist graphic design, and community-driven projects.
I’ve had the opportunity to create visual identities and design work for local restaurants, small businesses, and non-profits. I’m especially passionate about collaborating with my community and using design as a tool for storytelling, cultural connection, and positive impact.
