Alongside Tiles I’ve been building my case study site. A standalone website that documents the process and outcome of my capstone project. The problem, the research, the decisions, the deliverables. This is how the app came to be, meant to live on its own and act as the portfolio piece for the capstone.

What’s built

I’ve got the whole site laid out and organized, built so that updating it going forward is easy. I can drop in new text, images, or videos without having to rebuild anything.

It’s organized into six sections that follow the shape of the capstone itself:

• Problem Statement: what I’m solving and for whom
• Research: methods, data collection, user testing rounds
• Questions & Thoughts: the open questions that shaped early design decisions
• Process & Tools: the phases of the work and what I used to do it
• Deliverables: what actually got made
• Summary: closing thoughts, plus links out to the progress platform, sources, and the Tiles app prototype

Each section can hold the same kind of content. Intro text, longer paragraphs, pull quotes, step-by-step breakdowns, image grids, embedded video. So I can shape each one to fit what it actually needs to say.

What’s not built yet

Right now it’s all placeholder, every section has stand-in text and empty image slots just to show where things will go. The layout is right, but none of the real content is written yet. That’s the next phase, going section by section and swapping scaffolding for the real problem statement, real research findings, real process photos and screenshots, and the real deliverables write up.

Punch List

Immediate Write the Problem Statement and Research sections first, since those are the most settled. I already have the content from earlier coursework and just need to adapt it to this format.

Next Fill in Process & Tools and Deliverables. This is where the community board and glaze mixer work will actually get shown off.

Later Summary section and final links, once everything else is locked and I know exactly what I’m pointing back to.
